Corrections

The Public Purposes of the BBC  are listed in the BBC Charter as follows—
(a)
sustaining citizenship and civil society;
(b)
promoting education and learning;
(c)
stimulating creativity and cultural excellence;
(d)
representing the UK, its nations, regions and communities;
(e)
bringing the UK to the world and the world to the UK;
(f)
in promoting its other purposes, helping to deliver to the public the benefit of emerging communications technologies and services and, in addition, taking a leading role in the switchover to digital television
which of these rules are being adhered to_ and which are being broken_

this corrections page has been divided into two sub-sections _
the first sub-section records corrections which are filed directly with the BBC because the errors in grammar or spelling are clearly wrong and should be dealt with as soon as conveniently possible_ preferably before they are reported!

the second sub-section shows examples of badly written passages and paragraphs (or in some cases_ whole articles) which demonstrate a sustained lapse of standards and judgement _ although these elements of written work are not actually reported by this blog they are collated here as ‘cumulative evidence’ for the purposes of logging ‘en block’ with BBC Trust at a future date _
